Key Notes –

1: Sachin said that my father always supported me in playing cricket. The greatest gift got in my life is the freedom to play and i will always be greatful to him for that. There is no glory in practice but without practice there is no glory.

2: Vision of Sachin is healthy India as he says,” Jab swasth h yuva tb desh me kuch hua” . (We get true progress as a country when our youth is healthy)

3: India is set to emerge as youngest nation by 2020. So, the assumption is ‘yeh young hai toh fit hai (Young is Fit)’ but we are wrong . We are the diabetic capital of the world with over 75 million people affected by this disease and we are at 3 spot in obesity. The economic burden of these diseases will not allow our nation to progress.

4: According to UN report , the impact on Indian economy of non communicable diseases from year 2012 to 2030 will be 6.3 million trillion dollars i.e 4 crore crore Indian rupee and these numbers can be lowered by adapting sports in our life. We need to transform India from Sports Loving Nation to Sports Playing Nation.

5: Along with smart cities we should look at building smart sport cities. Sports should be at par along with elementary schools.

6: Indian athletes are going to various countries before any major competitions for preparation but could we bring them here with the use of digital India , so that we save time along with money and invest it at young athletes.

‌7: We should use the retired athletes most of which are just passing files from one table to other and many of them are struggling to both ends meet . By engaging them in sports we could use their lifetime experience & ensure their financial stability.
