Miss world 2017 winners are announced and Manushi Chhillar from India got the Crown. India got this proud moment after 17 years. Before this Priyanka Chopra (now famous actress) won Miss World contest in 2000. The 67th edition of the miss world pageant was held on 18th November 2017 at the Sanya, China. 118 contestants from all over the world took part in this event.

Manushi Chhillar from India won the contest while Andrea Meza from Mexico and Stephanie Hill from England were the first and second runner-up’s respectively. Although, there were few challenge events in this contest. Aletxa Mueses from Dominican Republic won the sports challenge and became the first quarter-finalist of Miss world 2017. While, Ugochi Ihezue from Nigeria won the top model competition and became the second quarter-finalist of Miss world 2017.

Michela Galea from Malta won the talent competition and became the third quarter-finalist. While Enkhjin Tseveendash from Mongolia won the multimedia challenge & people’s choice award. Manushi Chhillar, India won the beauty with a purpose challenge along with the main crown.

Family Background of Manushi Chhillar

Manushi Chhillar was born to doctor parents in Haryana, India. Her father Dr. Mitra Basu Chhillar is a scientist at DRDO (Defence Research & Development Organization) & also working as assistant director in an institute in Delhi. Her mother Dr. Neelam Chhillar is an associate professor & Department head of neurochemistry at an Institute in Delhi. Their native village is Bamnoli in Bahadurgarh Tehsil in District Jhajjar, Haryana India. Whole family left village 15-20 years back due to their profession urgency. Currently, her family is living in Delhi. Manushi Chhillar is a student of MBBS. She is a shining star of fashion world along with the education. Earlier, Manushi Chhillar won Femina Miss India 2017 on 25th June, 2017. Her journey is quite impressive & inspirational so far.
